BioEquity Announces Expansion of Transformation Counselling with New Locations in Cambridge and Ottawa

The new locations represent an important step in Transformation Counselling’s commitment to improving access to timely, compassionate, and affordable mental health care across Ontario.

Many individuals and families in Cambridge and Ottawa face significant delays when trying to access mental health services. For someone experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, difficulties at school, or other mental health concerns, waiting months for support can make an already difficult situation feel even more overwhelming.

Through this expansion, Transformation Counselling aims to reduce barriers to care and help more people receive support when they need it.

People should not have to face lengthy delays, complicated processes, or uncertainty after taking that first step,” said BioEquity. “Our goal is to create welcoming and compassionate spaces where clients feel heard, respected, and supported from their first conversation with our team.”

Both locations will offer a broad range of mental health services for children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families, including:

• Free and low-cost counselling options
• Psychological assessments
• ADHD assessments
• Autism assessments
• Psychoeducational assessments
• Mental health and psychodiagnostic assessments
• Nurse practitioner mental health assessments
• Medication assessment, prescription, and ongoing medication management
• In-person and online appointments

Transformation Counselling will expand its free and reduced-cost counselling programs to both communities, helping make professional mental health support available to individuals and families who may otherwise be unable to afford care.

Clients will also be able to access psychological assessment services for concerns involving attention, learning, autism, mental health, and emotional functioning. These assessments may help individuals and families better understand their needs and access appropriate treatment, educational accommodations, workplace supports, and community resources.

Nurse practitioner services will provide another accessible option for individuals seeking mental health assessments, treatment recommendations, medication prescriptions, medication management, and referrals for additional care when appropriate.

The Cambridge location will operate from 73 Water Street North, Suite 300, while the Ottawa clinic will be located on the seventh floor of the historic Fairmont Château Laurier at 1 Rideau Street.
